Small, rugged and light-weight Micro UAV will be delivered through Datron’s worldwide sales and support network for military and government applications.

AUVSI, Denver, Colorado, August 24, 2010 -
Datron World Communications, Inc., a leader in the tactical and public safety communications industry, and Aeryon Labs, experts in aerial robotics and digital video streaming, have finalized a private label agreement for the collaborative development and international sales and distribution of the Datron Scout.
Aeryon Labs, the creators and innovators of the unique Datron Scout Micro UAV design has teamed with Datron to achieve world-wide market penetration for the Scout. The Datron Scout is a small, rugged and lightweight Micro Air Vehicle designed to cap-ture and transmit high quality aerial video and still images in the field. A robust design coupled with snap together assembly makes the Scout a perfect fit for missions in a broad range of environments where measuring time in seconds will matter.
Formally introduced at the Farnborough Air Show, the Datron Scout has been well received in the international marketplace that Datron serves. “Leveraging the power of true innovation from Aeryon with the global market reach and technical resources of Datron provides a strong platform to deliver the Scout solution with enhanced capabilities to tactical, government, public safety and commercial users worldwide,” states Art Barter, President and CEO of Datron.
Combining the Scout with Datron’s existing line of tactical and public safety radio products will bring to market compelling systems that keep pace with today’s ever evolving communications requirements. For tactical military, border patrol, first responders, utilities or other commercial users, Datron Scout’s aerial reconnaissance performance and advanced features will provide extraordinary value.
“We believe the Scout offers a combination of technology innovation, rugged performance and mission critical capability that is unique in the Micro UAV market,” says Dave Kroetsch, President of Aeryon Labs. “Our goal of making this technology available to users worldwide who require aerial reconnaissance capability is significantly enhanced by our relationship with Datron.”
